SOCARRAT
BACKGROUND & CHALLENGE
Socarrat Paella Bar reached out to discuss their concerns on why they weren’t showing up on searches directly related to their cuisine category or menu items, such as tapas, paella, sangria, etc. The client was in need of improvement by way of SEO. The first opportunity we identified was the website platform they were using. A lot of small businesses and entrepreneurs use turn-key website builders such as BentoBox, Squarespace, Wix, etc. The appeal is quite simple in that you don’t have to be an expert in backend coding to build one. The challenge with these boxed solutions is, in order to make it simple for the user to build, a majority of the framework must be hard coded aka limited customization, We suggested, as part of the overarching SEO strategy, to start with building a highly optimized website, moving more towards a backend that could be coded as per the top optimization standards and techniques.
The client wanted their restaurant to be significantly more visible in online searches. They also wanted to improve their online engagement to, in turn, create more compelling content.
